Many people think a hot air balloon ride is an adrenalin rush. However, in reality it has a calming effect. There is no sudden rise into the sky, but a gradual drift upwards. Passengers feel no thumps or bumps because the balloon moves with the wind producing a gliding sensation. At times, the only way you know you are moving is by the changing landscape beneath you.
